NDA Answer Key - Mathematics
NDA Written Exam - Mathematics Section is of multiple choice questions with 120 questions. The Answer Key for Mathematics section is released by UPSC for four series of question booklets. Candidates can refer the respective answer key to cross check their answers and candidates who are using Sample papers for practice can also use the Answer key for their reference. NDA Answer Key - General Ability Test
The Second Section of Written Exam is General Ability Test (GAT) with Part - A (English-50 questions) and Part - B (General Knowledge-100 questions) holding maximum marks of 600 and time duration of 2 hours and 30 minutes. Candidates can use the given NDA Answer Key of four series of question booklets for reference and also for preparation.

NDA Exams are conducted twice a year and the Sample paper is released by UPSC few days after the Exam. The candidates who are aspiring to clear the exam and are preparing for the exam can use the given sample papers and take it as mock test. Besides solving practice sets and mock tests in online and offline mode candidates can check through the Sample Papers/Previous year question papers to get an overview of the Exam pattern. The eligibility or short listing of candidates for most of the exams is done in Cut Off basis. Cut Off marks is the standard set by the recruiting firm for the candidates to be qualified in the process and also for final selection to be made. Cut Off marks are released for NDA and NA Exams also. UPSC releases the Cut Off marks after Merit list is being released. Marks secured by the last candidate in the merit order at final stage of the examination are considered as the Cutoff Score. Candidates should get both sectional cut off and also and overall cutoff. Score Calculation for Mathematics = (No. of correct answer x 2.5) - (No. of incorrect answers x 0.83)
Score Calculation for English and General Knowledge = (No. of correct answer x 4) - (No. of incorrect answers x 1.33)
NDA and NA Exams are conducted twice a year for recruiting competent candidates for training in Army, Navy, and Air Force wings of National Defence Academy and Naval Academy. The Selection process has Written Exam and Two-Stage Selection Procedure.
|General Ability Test
Written Exam pattern has two sections i.e. Paper I (Mathematics) and Paper II (General Ability Test). The results of the Written Exam are published one month after the Exam. The shortlisted candidates then take up the Two-Stage Selection Procedure by Services Selection Board. Candidates opted for Air Force as first choice will have to take Computerised Pilot Selection System (CPSS) and Pilot Aptitude Test (which forms the whole PAB Test or PABT). Candidates should qualify separately in PABT test. Candidates who have opted Air Force as one of the choice can also take PABT test on their willingness.
Candidates who have applied for the NDA and NA Exam should have a clear idea of the Syllabus for preparation and practice. The syllabus of the Exam is given along with the official notification. The Syllabus follows the CBSE pattern of class 10 to 12 and candidates are advised to follow the NCERT textbooks. The Written Exam has two broad divisions i.e. Mathematics and General Ability Test (GAT). GAT has two divisions - English and General Knowledge.
