On November 8, 2017, IBPS released cut off marks for IBPS PO Preliminary Exam 2017. IBPS PO Preliminary Examination is the first step of the IBPS PO Selection process. IBPS PO Prelims exam comprises 3 main sections namely, English Language, Quantitative Aptitude and Reasoning Ability. Total marks allotted for the IBPS PO Prelims exam are 100 marks. Candidates should secure qualifying marks i.e., minimum sectional cut off marks as decided by IBPS in each Section of English language, Quantitative aptitude and Reasoning ability. Moreover, further, Candidates should secure Overall Cutoff marks in IBPS PO Prelims Exam. IBPS PO CUT OFF MARKS

IBPS PO cutoff is the minimum required marks to be obtained by the Candidates to qualify for the next stage of the IBPS PO recruitment procedure. Cut Offs are applied in two stages for each phases (Prelims, Mains)

  • On Scores in individual Tests (Sectional Cut off)
  • On Total score (Overall Cut off)

Candidates should secure overall cut off marks and also minimum cutoff marks for each section, as decided by IBPS. Sectional cutoff marks (ie., Cutoff marks for English, Reasoning, Quantitative Ability, General Awareness, Computer Knowledge) are different for each section as well as different for IBPS PO Prelims and IBPS PO Mains exam. Total marks allotted for IBPS PO Mains exam is 200 marks.

Candidates should secure qualifying marks i.e., minimum sectional cut off marks as decided by IBPS in each Section of English language, Quantitative aptitude, Reasoning ability, General Awareness and Computer Knowledge. Moreover further, Candidates should secure Overall Cutoff marks in IBPS PO Mains Exam. These Sectional Cutoff and Overall Cutoff marks for IBPS Mains Exam may vary according to categories like General, OBC, SC, ST. IBPS PO Cut Off for Final Selection:

As said earlier, Final merit listing of IBPS PO vacancies is based on IBPS PO Mains examination marks + Interview Marks. The Combined Final Score is calculated as Marks obtained in mains exam (out of 200) + Marks obtained in Interview (100). The weightage of IBPS PO Mains exam and interview will be 80:20 respectively.

How to calculate IBPS PO Final Score:

Total Score for Final Allotment = {[Obtained Marks in Mains Exam / 200] x 80} + {[Obtained Marks in Interview / 100] x 20}
If a candidate has scored 160 marks in mains exam (out of 200)  and 80 marks in interview (out of 100), final allotment score will be calculated as [(160/200)x80] + [(80/100) x 20]
