The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) important dates related to IBPS Clerk Exam 2018 has been officialy released on September 13, 2018 on its official website www.ibps.in. According to IBPS Calendar, IBPS Clerk 2018-19 Prelims exam is scheduled on 08.12.2018, 09.12.2018, 15.12.2018 & 16.12.2018 and mains exam is scheduled on 20.01.2019. The total number vacancies for IBPS Clerk 2018 recruitment exam released with its official notification is 7,275 vacancies in 19 nationalised banks across India. IBPS Clerk 2018 Exam Overview:

Institute of Banking Personnel Selection named as IBPS conducts common written exam (CWE)  every year for the clerical cadre in multiple banks all over the country. All public sector banks use CWE as a base to fill the vacancies for this post. IBPS is conducting Clerk exam for the seventh year now and hence named IBPS Clerk CWE VII. The IBPS Clerk CWE exam is conducted on two levels- preliminary exam and mains. Students qualifying in both these exams are thus selected for the post. IBPS recruits candidates for Probationary Officer position based on their performance of three phases namely,
  • IBPS clerk Preliminary Examination,
  • IBPS clerk Mains Examination

IBPS Clerk 2018 Exam Dates:

This year, Under the name of “CWE Clerk/MT-VII”, IBPS will conduct online Common Written Examination (CWE) for the posts of clerical cadre in two phases as:
1. IBPS clerk Preliminary Exam
2. IBPS clerk Mains Exam
On January 16, 2018, IBPS released tentative dates for CWE clerk/MT-VII which are:
  • IBPS clerk Preliminary Examination Dates - 08.12.2018, 09.12.2018, 15.12.2018 & 16.12.2018

IBPS Clerk Online Application Process 2018:

In order to grasp Bank clerk/ MT job, Candidate have to apply for IBPS CWE clerk/MT-VII through online mode only, after the declaration of IBPS clerk Official notification. Application Fees/ Intimation Charges Payable for IBPS clerk recruitment are:
  • Rs. 100/- for SC/ST/PWD candidates.
  • Rs. 600 /- for all others
During Online Application Submission of IBPS Clerk Exam, you have to upload the scanned copy of following particulars
  • Your Passport Size Photo - It should be in .jpg format between 200 x 230 pixels in Dimensions and  20kb - 50 kb in size
  • Your Signature - It should be in .jpg format between 140 x 60 pixels in Dimensions and 10kb - 20kb in size

IBPS Clerk Admit Card

An IBPS CLERK ADMIT CARD clerk e-card/hall ticket/ call letter can be downloaded from the IBPS official link, which will be updated in the Fresherslive page. IBPS Clerk Admit Card has issued for all two phases namely Preliminary, Mains. IBPS issues Admit Card for Pre-Exam Training to a limited number of candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste/ Scheduled Tribes/ Minority Communities, before Commencement of IBPS clerk Preliminary Exam.

IBPS Clerk  Preliminary and Mains Exam Structure:

IBPS CLERK Exam Pattern is conducted in online mode only. IBPS CLERK Prelims exam comprises of 100 multiple choice questions under 3 main subject category sections namely English Language, Quantitative Aptitude, Reasoning Ability. Total marks allotted for IBPS clerk Prelims exam is 100 marks and Total Duration of IBPS clerk Prelims exam is 60 mins (1 hour).

IBPS clerk Mains exam is conducted in online mode only. IBPS clerk Mains exam comprises of 200 multiple choice questions under 5 main subject category sections namely Reasoning, English Language, Quantitative Aptitude, General Awareness (with special reference to Banking) and Computer Knowledge. Here, all Questions for all four sections except the English Language will be present in both English as well as the Hindi Language.

Final Result of IBPS Clerk 2018:

IBPS will release the IBPS CLERK RESULT of 2018 provisional allotment in April 2019 (tentative). Every candidate is required to obtain a minimum score in each test of Online Main Examination and also a minimum total score to be considered for further allotment process. On the basis of the number of the State/ UT wise vacancies available, cut-offs will be decided will be taken into consideration for provisional allotment. Prior to the completion of provisional allotment process scores obtained in the Online Main Examination will not be shared with the candidates.The maximum marks allotted for Main Examination are 200. This score will be converted out of 100 for Provisional allotment. A candidate needs to be successful in the CWE online main examination to secure high in the merit to be considered for subsequent provisional allotment process, details of which will be made available subsequently on IBPS website.
