DU Admission Procedure 2018:
Stage 1:- Online Registration:
In order to gain DU UG Course Admission, first the candidates need to submit the application form
in online mode
only. The beginning of application process for UG course admission at Delhi University (DU) coincides with the declaration of CBSE class 10+2 examination results.
Stage 2:- Check Cutoffs Announced by DU:
When the DU UG Courses 2018 application process gets over, the Delhi University releases cut off score
for all DU affiliated colleges and courses. Delhi University declares subsequent cut off lists until all the seats are filled in the 77 affiliated colleges. Candidates need to select marks scored by them in any four subjects
in their Class XII Board exam to calculate best-of-four percentage
.Then candidate should calculate the aggregate marks/percentage scored by them (as per the table mentioned below). Candidate who secure cutoffs released for DU admissions 2018, are eligible to get a seat in the course and college of their choice.
Stage 3:- Selection of Colleges/Programmes:
Candidates who secured specific cut-off marks mentioned in the DU 2018 Cut off list, should log in to the UG admission portal and select the college/programme as per their wish. In this stage, candidates should keep in mind that they should meet the desired cut-off criterion for the particular course in the particular college.
Stage 4:- Verification of documents at Colleges:
Next, candidates need to take a printout of their DU 2018 application form from the official portal. To get DU admission, candidates will have to carry their DU 2018 application form along with the list of documents (mentioned at the end of this article) to the respective DU college for verification of certificates/marksheet.
Stage 5:- Approval of admission:
Once the certificates/marksheets of the candidate get verified in DU College, the college will approve the candidate’s admission on the DU UG admission portal. Certificates of the approved candidates will be retained with the respective DU College to avoid multiple admissions. In case the student withdraws/cancels their DU admission or wishes to appear in counselling for admission by any other university/ institute, DU colleges will return the certificates/marksheets.
Stage 6:- Online payment of Admission fee:
After completing all the above mentioned steps, candidates need to pay their DU admission fee in only online mode through logging in to the DU admission portal for UG programmes. The approved candidates will be allowed to pay online admission fee till 12 noon of the next day of the given admission list deadline.

What are the Eligibility Criteria for DU Admission 2018?
The candidates seeking for admission to undergraduate (UG) programmes in Delhi University (DU), should fulfill the following essential criteria. The eligibility criteria for DU Admission 2018 are same for all the colleges under the Delhi university except St. Stephen's College and Jesus & Mary College. The students who are awaiting their CBSE board Class 12th results 2018 can also apply for DU Admissions 2018. Under sport quota category admission, sports trial carries 60 percent weightage while 40 percent weightage is given to sport certificates.

Students applying for Delhi University undergraduate courses need to mention their best of four marks

For a student seeking admission to a particular discipline and not studied the relevant subject as mentioned in List A, 2.5% in their aggregate marks will be reduced.

How to register for DU Admission 2018?
Delhi University (DU) grants admissions to various undergraduate (UG) programmes through merit under the three-year UG programme structure. To grab admission in any of the undergraduate (UG) courses offered by DU affiliated colleges, one must register in only online mode at the centralized UG admission portal ie., ugadmission.du.ac.in
. Candidates can apply for multiple UG programmes/courses without extra fee through a single online registration form. The stepwise procedure for applying DU Admission 2018 is granted below:

Step 1 - Registration:
To register for DU UG courses Admission, candidates need to click on ‘New Registration
’ and Under the “Create New Account” page, fill all fields indicated by

After entering all the above details, candidates need to enter the Captcha code and click on Register button to successfully register for DU Admissions 2018.
Step 2:- Filling DU Admission Application Form, Mandatory uploads:
Now the applicants need to login to fill the following information in the application form for DU Admissions 2018.
- Basic Profile – This includes applicant’s name, contact details, gender, Date of Birth, Parent’s details, Aadhaar Number, Reserved category etc.
- Educational Qualification – This includes academic details such as Class 10th, 12th exam board name, roll number, result status, percentage of marks.
- Course selection - Here candidates required to select their choices of course from two lists i.e. Merit based courses and entrance exam based courses. [Note: The application form for DU admission in multiple courses as well as Merit and Entrance Exam based course will be same (one application for all).
- Bank Details: Applicants need to furnish the Bank Details for the refund of fee in case of cancellation of their admission. Candidates are advised to keep their bank account number and IFSC handy and enter it carefully.
- Mandatory uploads - In this section, applicants should upload the required documents (photocopies) like
- Self-attested copy of Class 10th and Class 12th board mark sheets,
- reserved category certificate (if applicable)
- PWD certificate (if applicable).
After filling all the above mentioned details and uploading required documents, candidates are advised to check the all the information and edit if anything is wrong or missing. After paying the DU application fee, candidates will not be allowed to make changes in filled DU Admission Application Form.
Step 3:- Payment of Application Fee:
Applicant’s online registration process shall be completed only after payment and realization of the online registration fee. Applicants can pay the prescribed DU admission application fee through online payment gateway using Debit Card/ Credit Card/ Net Banking/ Paytm. This application fee is non-refundable. What are the documents required at the time of DU Admission 2018?
Candidates who secured specified Cut offs, must produce the following documents in original with two sets of self-attested photocopies at the time of UG Course 2018 admission in the allotted DU College:
