On behalf of Standardisation Testing & Quality Certification Directorate (STQC) an attached office of MeitY, applications are invited from eligible and qualified persons for the post of Scientist ‘B’ and Scientific Assistant ‘A’ in Standardisation Testing & Quality Certification Directorate (STQC).

a. M.Sc. in Electronics/Applied Electronics/Physics/Computer Science/IT OR
b.M.S. in any one or in combination of following Electronics/ Electronics & Communications /Electronics & Telecommunications/Computer Science/ Computer & Networking Security/ Software System/ Information Technology/Geographical Information System (GIS)/Electrical/Design/Informatics/ Computer Management/ Computational Linguistics OR
c.Master of Computer Application (MCA) OR
d.B.E / B. Tech in any one or in combination of following Electronics/ Electronics & Communications /Electronics & Telecommunications/Computer Science/ Computer & Networking Security/Software System/Information Technology/Geographical Information System (GIS)/Electrical/Design/Informatics/ Computer Management/ Computational Linguistics
5.Place of Posting: The person selected may be posted anywhere in INDIA in the interest of the Organization.
Important Instructions/ Information
i. CITIZENSHIP: A Candidate must be either: (a) a citizen of India, or (b) a subject of Nepal, or (c) a subject of Bhutan, or (d) a Tibetan refugee who came over to India before 1st January, 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India, or (e) a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka or East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India. Provided that a candidate belonging to categories (b), (c), (d) and (e) above shall be a person in whose favour a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Government of India.
ii. Reservation for SC/ST/OBC/PWD candidates shall be as per the Govt. guidelines. The candidates must upload a copy of the Caste/Category Certificate in the formats prescribed by Government of India. The Certificate for PWD must indicate the percentage of disability while the Certificate for Backward Caste must clearly indicate that the candidate does not belong to the persons/sections (Creamy Layer) mentioned in column 3 of Schedule to the Government of India Department of Personnel & Training O.M. No.36012/22/93-Estt.(SCT) dated 8/9/93 as amended from time to time.
iii. The cut-off date for calculating the age as well as completion of eligibility conditions with regard to essential qualifications and experience if applicable will be the closing date for receipt of the application i.e. 31/12/2020, which will remain unchanged even in case of extension of the closing date for submission of applications.
iv. All correspondences in connection with the recruitment will be made by NIELIT through e-mails/sms only, the candidates must, therefore, regularly check their registered e-mail ID and Mobile No. Candidates are further advised to visit the website regularly for updates.
v. NIELIT will not be responsible in case of incomplete transactions during the online payment process. It is the sole responsibility of the candidate to ensure that the correct payment of application fee has been made successfully. Application fee once paid is non-refundable. Applicants, in their own interest, should check their eligibility for the post before remitting the application fee. Only qualifications mentioned against each stream shall be considered for determining the eligibility.
vi. The candidate must indicate his/her primary e-mail ID and active primary Mobile No. , in the online application form on which the communication regarding this recruitment process would reach to the applicant. The candidate shall submit only one application against each post. Failure to do so may lead to rejection/cancellation of the Applications.
vii. Applicants applying for more than one post should submit separate applications for each post and remit the application fee for each post separately.
viii. Candidates, at the time of interview shall bring the downloaded Interview Call Letter, self attested copies of the testimonials along with originals of the same. The candidates, without self attested copies of essential testimonials and their originals, will not be allowed to appear in the Interview.
ix. Final selection of candidates for appointment to the advertised posts will be based on meeting the prescribed eligibility criteria, the performance in the written examination and in interview.
x. Merit List will be prepared stream-wise. For PWD candidates merit list will be prepared irrespective of stream. The offer of appointment would be issued to the candidates in order of Merit and availability of vacancies.
xi. If at any point of time it is found that the information furnished by the candidate was incorrect in any respect or forged /fabricated documents were presented by any candidate, his/her candidature will be cancelled and in case the candidate has already joined the post, his services shall be summarily terminated.
xii. Each candidate should affix his/her recent colour passport size photograph (of size 3.5 cms x 4.5 cms) on a White Paper and then append his/her signatures with Black Pen in another box of 3.5 cms x 1.5cms below the photograph on the same Paper. Scan the above photo and signature in a single file in JPG format of size not more than 50 KB and upload the same at appropriate space provided in the online Application Form. Each candidate has to upload scanned copy of Signature separately also at appropriate space. (Max. Size 50 KB).
Candidates has to upload the following documents (in PDF format) along with the online application:
a) Date of Birth Certificate (Matriculation/High School/SSC Certificate or issued by Municipality, etc. ) (Max Size 250 KB)
b) Caste Certificate (SC/ST/OBC), if applicable. (Max Size 250 KB).
c) EWS Certificate in case of EWS candidates (Max Size 250 KB)
d) Degree of essential Qualification which makes him/her eligible for applying for the post along with Marks sheet (Max Size 500 KB)
e) PWD Certificate, if applicable (Max. Size 250 KB)
f) Photo Identify card (Max. Size 250 KB).
Selection Procedure :
i. The final selection of eligible candidates for appointment to the post of Scientist ‘B’ will be based on the combined performance of the candidates both in the written examination and in interview. The weightage of marks for written examination and interview will be in the ratio of 85:15. It is mandatory to appear in the interview for selection.
ii. Only the shortlisted candidates based on merit position and reservation policy etc. in the ration of 1:3 (No.of vacancies : No. of candidates), who have qualified the written examination, will be called for interview. Category SC/ST/PWD/Women candidates General and all others Rs.400/- per application. Rs.800/- per application.
iii. For the post of Scientific Assistant ‘A’ selection will be on the basis of written test only.
iv. Verification of requisite documents will be done at the time of the interview for the post of Scientist ‘B. Verification of documents will be done before joining in respect of post of Scientific Assistant ‘A’.
How to Apply :
1. The cut-off date for calculating the age as well as completion of eligibility conditions with regard to essential qualifications and experience if applicable will be 31/12/2020 (Closing date as per the Advertisement No. NIELIT/NDL/STQC/2020/1 dated 02.12.2020).
2. Applicants who have already submitted applications along with fee need not to apply again.
3. Applicants who could not complete their applications or pay application fee earlier i.e before earlier closing date of receiving applications (31/12/2020) can complete their applications/ pay fee by closing date 09.07.2021 (5:30 P.M)
4. New Applicants can apply between 10.06.2021 (11:30 A.M) and 09.07.2021 (5:30 P.M).
5. Registered ST applicants who have already submitted their application successfully with fee for the post of Scientist ‘B’ under Electronics Stream and chose to apply under UR category as no vacancy was then available under their category, will also be considered under ST category. They need not re-apply.
6. Registered SC applicants who have already submitted their application successfully with fee for the post of Scientific Assistant ‘A’ under IT Stream and chose to apply under UR category as no vacancy was then available under their category, will also be considered under SC category. They need not re-apply.
7. PWD –OH Applicants who have already submitted their application successfully with fee for the post of Scientific Assistant ‘A’ and chose to apply under “Permissible disability as per suitability without PWD reservation” disability type as no vacancy was then available for OH should login and modify their Disability Type depending on their suitability for the post to avail reservation.
